Who owns Monsanto? It could very well be you.

Who owns Monsanto? The answer appears to be we do, at least those of us who have pensions, insurance and/or saving accounts. Like an unruly mob, where the individual is swept up in the anonymity of the numbers, responsibility and conscience is muted when it comes to investments and pension funds. The system of shareholder capitalism, where massive powerful corporations have huge numbers of shareholders, including all kinds of mutual fund holders, capital managers, insurance companies, etc., makes it easy to be anonymous and check ones ethics at the door. Monsanto insiders own less than 10 % of the corporation, the remainder is controlled by money managers and mutual funds. With the dumbing down of our time, the bloody trail and fascist consequences of our money is concealed by the illusion that we have no power to effect change. We have tremendous power, it is only limited by our willingness to pay attention and act. Here is a link with a breakdown of Monsanto's major shareholders.

Somehow that information does not suprise me. First they infiltrait us in order to steal our money to use it for their own corporate greed and then they rape us for the rest of our assets, namely cash and farms and seeds. It's time to take these folks down a couple notches on the food chain.

This business of the pig patent is absolutely outrageous. However, Monsanto has implicated every one of us who invests money in funds that we never investigate. I worked for a multi-national once that encouraged its employees to buy shares in the company. After a couple of years I began to notice the corporate cannabilism we were engaged in ... whenever we downsized jobs and the guy in the next cubicle lost his job the bright side was we were delivering shareholder value. I never bought any shares and everyone told me I was stupid because they were such a great investment but now I've been downsized. I notice my former cubicle mates are looking over their shoulders wondering who will be next. If I could wish one thing I would wish people were not so greedy but no feels secure so it's every person for themselves. Anyways, lord help the pigs!

Bishops Homegrown posted about GMO glow in the dark pigs(click his title above to get there) ; maybe those florescent genes will transfer in the gut of the poor sap whose next in line to lose their job - no need to look over the shoulder...just release a chemical and make em glow. Does it seem like we're living in a Sci Fi, or what?

Maybe all this genetic interference and the inevitable catastrophes that follow are the price of “progress.” When I think about all the people who are not asking questions or following these ideas then I just have to accept that perhaps they are content to lead their lives in ignorance. I don’t need all the fingers on one hand to count the number of people I know who are concerned about this stuff even when it’s pointed out to them. So to answer your question, I think we are living in an “or what” situation … just look at the Obamamania phenomenon … “Bishops Homegrown” is on to him though.

What a wonderful blog! I am inspired by your story, your farm - and a wee bit jealous too! :)

I live in Melbourne, Australia, and have just recently planted my first vegetable garden. Smaller scale but same thing, right? It's very empowering :)

Hi Sue,

Well, at times I am jealous of those with small household gardens!
Great that you've started your own!

I find it curious that monsanto's procedures specifically use "cross species" dna. AND that we have this mysterious swine flu which is, supposedly, a CROSS SPECIES influenza.

If Monsanto were into frogs, we'd have frog flu or some such horror that can only be the result of scientists run amok and greed. You may not be able to see who OWNS monsanto very obviously, but perhaps you could find out who stands to benefit the most (and it's probably NOT a stock holder).

MONSANTO is merely a distraction, and a part of a much larger story-a story whose borders exceeds MONSANTO-fluoride-vaccines-chemtrails-FEMA camps. Monsanto is an engine, who, like others, are designed to subjugate and bring under control human masses who believe in and serve a global superpower.Control and total domination are the aims of ultra wealthy factions whose psychopathic personalities decide to feudalize or eliminate the "useless feeders". Why did that NASA tech in MIB 3 wear a Nazi swastika on his uniform placket?
